Tami created a NING site for Mass Communications class. This is the result of an entire semester, so you

can see how the students interact using the site. There are videos, blog posts, syllabus, and student interactions

with an assortment of assignments and how they were interpreted by community college students at Lakewood Ranch

in Sarasota, Florida.

Jacob Westrum, Screenwriting unit.

For my final project I chose to adapt the 5-day screenwriting unit, created by Rebecca Hanten and myself, into a four-week unit designed to work into a larger project.  The goal: in a four-week unit, students will create a short scene which they'll be able to shoot and then edit.  The shooting and editing units I have not designed yet, but they'll follow a fairly standard high school-level production/editing unit using digital video and imovie/windows media editing.  The unit can be found here.
